While the outcome of the 2022 Kentucky Derby may have been a shocker, the Turtle Creek Conservancy’s 2022 Day At The Races presented by Truist bank was a standout in its own right on Saturday, May 7.
Before the two-minute run for the roses got underway, the crowd filling Arlington Hall and the adjoining tent was stunning. Despite ladies looking springtime-marvelous ,donning designer dresses and beautiful chapeaus, the gents held their own in walking shorts, bowties, Panama hats and natty window-pane linen sport jackets.
And, of course, there were some who stood out even in this herd. According to the Day At The Races Judges (John Clutts, Michael Faircloth, Tanya Foster and Kim Hext), the winners were announced to the delight of the guests just moments before they cheered the horses racing on the overhead screen.
